In the School of Infantry, David is able to have some hours of liberty each weekend. He is able to call us by cell phone. This has greatly aided our communication with him. He did also receive both packages we sent him, one with his cell phone charger that got left behind and the other with dress clothes for church.
Last week, David received a perfumed, flowery, pink letter. It was from an unknown name and was four pages long. The letter was written in a classical style. Finally on the last page, David realized why it had been written. It was a thank you note written by the sister of a Marine who had been on the rack beside David in boot camp. The sister is a Christian and had been praying that someone would be able to witness to her brother that he might return to the Lord. David had been that witness. The brother had returned to the Lord and was attending church. The sister wrote to thank David for being an answer to her prayers. How we praise God. David says, "you never know what is happening behind the scenes." Thank you to all of you who have prayed for David. Keep up the good work.
