Early Tues. morning, David flew back to San Diego and was to go to Camp Pendleton for School of Infantry training. This training will last 8 weeks. From there he will go to Virginia for six more weeks of Security training. While David is at Camp Pendleton, communication should be a little easier as he has a cell phone and will get some weekend days off.
We were so thankful for the 17 days David had at home. It certainly was winter weather and he took full advantage of it playing hockey and skating, sliding and going skiing and cutting and splitting wood to keep people warm. It was interesting to see the various uniforms and outfits he had acquired and to learn the protocol of wearing them, etc. Some were made to look neat with shirt stays and collar springs. Nothing could be worn in the pockets as that made things look bulky. Instead, wallets, cell phones, etc. were worn in the socks.:)
We do thank each person who prayed for David. He did get a perfect PFT score of 300. PTL!

Hi to you all and blessings to David! I hear that Paul and Josie are in town to see my dad at the nursing home today, while taking Megan to the airport!
